An Exaggeration? No — A Matter of Seeing Further

A little over a year ago, my attention turned toward something I could never have imagined focusing on: rare earth elements. Curiosity gave way to sustained focus — aided, fortunately, by a medically recommended sabbatical that, in time, became something closer to a personal reckoning.

I sought out every source available — information that, only a year earlier, was scarce. I studied the literature, took part in seminars and debates on geography and geology, and traveled to five countries. I returned with one conviction: the world will never be the same after the energy transition. Rare earths, critical minerals, and ionic clay are no longer a footnote. They are the story.

Unimaginable in the recent past, rare earths, critical minerals, and ionic clay have become the defining subject of our era — across traditional media and the digital world, in the daily conversations of ordinary people, and among the politicians and governments who shape our world. Here, there, East and West, in the furthest corners of every nation, no other subject commands the same attention.
